Finding ‘the’ black jeans.

So you make an ASOS order on a whim, the parcel gets lost, aka delivered to an unknown address where it was signed for (smh), meaning you reorder (while arguing with ASOS and DPD about a refund/replacement via email) because the black jeans you originally ordered you were super keen to try.

Said jeans finally arrived, I tried them on and oh my, basically perfect. The jeans in question are the ASOS Castille Straight Leg Jeans in Washed Black. Annoyingly, they were also in the sale meaning they will likely go out of stock and never come back. Ideal.

Black jeans are a monochrome wearer’s (a.k.a me) bread and butter and I have gone through my fair share of black jeans in my almost 24 years. From countless pairs of Topshop Leigh jeans to Joni jeans, dabbling with Jamie’s and even a brief affair with Miss Selfridge high waisted – but none were quite ‘the ones’.

I love the fact that they fit like a glove on both my hips, bum and also my waist which is basically unheard of, but are straight from below the knees – the raw and stepped hem is an added bonus.

Now this could be completely premature, because I am yet to wash my ASOS Castille jeans and I know this could make or break it in terms of our relationship. But, I did order another pair in the end which is pretty telling of how much I love them.

Now, onto the search for THE proper blue denim wash non-skinny jeans. The UO Axyl jeans may be next on my list…
